If you have usable clothing and household items you no longer need lying around, here’s a way you can find them a good home and help your school at the same time!
The Rio Rancho Education Foundation is partnering with ReUseIt to collect donations of usable clothing and household items from homes within the Rio Rancho School District boundaries. Homes have been placed on a monthly pick-up route schedule, or families may contact ReUseIt and arrange for a special pickup for those not scheduled on a pickup route. For a list of what can be donated, click here.
The Rio Rancho Education Foundation (RREF) raises money to help public schools and teachers in Rio Rancho fund innovative and creative projects that could not otherwise be funded by the district. RREF benefits from all donations received through this program by ReUseIt! For example, if every student in the school district were to donate two large bags of clothing, RREF could earn more than $55,000 to benefit Rio Rancho Schools.
Families may access the monthly pickup calendar by visiting www.ReUseIt.org/RREF
. The calendar currently runs through December 2016.
