November News:

  • Ms. Nicole's last day with us will be Friday, November 10th.  We wish her the very best in teaching 4th grade at Vista Grande Elementary!  She will be missed!
  • On November 21st, we will have our annual, dessert with parents day.  Please join us for spice cake at 11:30 in your child's classroom.
  • With the fall months, comes colder more unpredictable weather.  We ask that you check your child's cubby and replace the "summer sets" of clothing and blankets with warmer "winter sets".  Please label your child's belongings with their initials.
  • Just a reminder, please do not allow your child to bring personal items from home unless previously approved by their teacher.  Throughout the school year, we provide a few opportunities for your child to bring that something special that can be shared with their friends and teachers.
  • We have several volunteers at our center this year.  They have all gone through the volunteer process and/or are employees with RRPS. Solana Armijo is coming back this year.  She attends Cleveland HS and is part of the National Honor Society.  She is very sweet and kind and loves being here with the children.  She will be here on Wednesday afternoons from 2-3.  Barb Dougherty worked at SSPS for 11 years and is now doing her practicum at EMDC every Wednesday from 8:30-4:30, until the end of October.  Dianne Johnson works at SSPS and will be with us on Wednesdays from 8-12.

Thank you for sharing your children with us.

I’m always happy to help.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Happy November!

This month we are going to begin exploring the five senses.  With fall coming into full swing, we will be able to really learn what our senses do.  We will also be discussing what we are thankful for as Thanksgiving approaches.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your children.  If ever you have questions, feel free to contact us anytime!
Thank you,
Ms. Mia and Ms. Sam

Hello,

Wow! One holiday gone and now we're on to the next. During November, we will be talking about hibernation and what we are thankful for.  Some of the projects we will be doing are cupcake hibernation bears, coffee filter turkeys and a tissue paper turkey.  We'll be doing an awesome "melting ice" science project and a rice krispy turkey food project.  The last week of November, we will be doing Christmas around the world.

We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ms. Anna, Ms. Nicole & Ms. Breana
