The Big Event 2018

RRHS's Big Event Wants to Help You!
Posted on 10/26/2018
The 11th annual BIG Event community service project, sponsored by Rio Rancho High School Associated Students, is coming up on Saturday, November 17. The BIG Event is a one-day service project where teams of students go out to homes in Rio Rancho and perform odd-jobs and chores such as raking leaves, pulling weeds and cleaning yards. The project is a way we say, "Thank You!" to the community for its support of our public schools.

The Rio Rancho BIG Event is one of  the largest service project in the state. Last year, over 600 student volunteers and more than 100 adult volunteers provided service to 93 Rio Rancho residents.

If you would like to request a team of students to come to your home, fill out the Job Request Form located on the Activities Page of the Rio Rancho High School Website, or contact the RRHS Activities Office at 962-9500. Job requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no socio-economic requirement. The number of job requests filled will be based on the number of volunteers available. The deadline to submit a Job Request is November 5.

If you would like to take part in this project as an adult volunteer, please call the RRHS Activities Office at 962-9500, or contact Bill Duncan, RRHS Activities Director, at william.duncan@rrps.net.
