Student Chromebooks - Distribution
Students should bring their charged Chromebooks with them to school daily. Most students should already have a Chromebook from the previous school year. This distribution process is to get devices to any students who don't have one yet.
When: Starting in the afternoon on Friday, August 8th, and continuing through August 11th and 12th.
Who: Students will be called out of class by last name and grade level to check out their devices.
What to expect: Not all students will have a device on the first few days of school. We are working to get Chromebooks to everyone as quickly as possible. We plan to have a device checked out to every CHS student by the end of the day on Wednesday August 12th.
What if a student forgets their device? The tech office will not be checking out loaner Chromebooks or chargers for students who have forgotten theirs at home.
Student Password Update
All secondary student passwords have been reset to a temporary password: welcometoRRFirstname. (Note that the first letter of their first name is capitalized.)
When students sign in for the first time, they'll be prompted to create a new password. The new password must be at least 15 characters long and doesn't require special characters, numbers, or capital letters. We suggest using a short sentence, like "iWalkedToTheStore" or "jumpingHighIsFun."
