Dear Cleveland High School Families,
Each year, the New Mexico Public Education Department shares school accountability results through the New Mexico Vistas system. These results look at student achievement, academic growth, attendance, and other measures of school performance.
I want to share what our current designation means for Cleveland, what we are learning from our results, and what we are focused on this year. Across Rio Rancho Public Schools, our goal is for every school to reach Spotlight status by 2030. Spotlight status reflects strong performance across the measures the state uses to evaluate schools. More importantly, we want every student to attend a strong school and be on a trajectory for success throughout their career in RRPS and beyond.
Our Status:
Cleveland High School has been designated a Spotlight School, the state's highest school recognition. We are proud of this recognition and grateful for the work of our students, staff, and families. Our focus now is on building on what is working, continuing to improve, and making sure every student is making strong progress.

We will continue looking at student learning throughout the year, celebrating progress and adjusting when students need additional support. Families are an important part of this work. You can support our school by continuing to encourage strong attendance, staying connected with your child's teachers, talking with your child about what they are learning, and partnering with us when additional support is needed. Our larger goal is simple: we want every student at Cleveland High School to learn at high levels, make strong progress, and stay on a path toward long-term success in RRPS.
